From big commitments such as signing with the Green List, to smaller changes such as introducing plant-based kinds of milk for coffee, we actively work on several projects to create a more sustainable University.

In the Netherlands, Dutch universities have been known to foster sustainability from teachings, to providing vegan-based food options, to the absolute removal of plastics, we want to push further to put the University of Amsterdam as the leading example as a high quality, sustainable university.

In the last academic year 2019-2020, we have pushed for vegan and vegetarian foods as the standard, with optional meat options, as well as removing paper cups university-wide.
